Le Serpen - the site: take a virtual tour of our place

The whole site is accessible to visitors, apart from a small private garden next to the farmhouse and a couple of work and storage areas. The farmhouse is our home and we are available to help with any queries or problems you may have but otherwise we will leave you to enjoy your stay undisturbed.

The heated swimming pool (10 x 5 metres) is to the rear of the site in an area which is in sunshine for most of the day and easily accessible from the gite. Guests have exclusive use of the pool while on site. (Please note there is an additional charge of 10 euros per day for pool heating outside the period 1st June to 30th September.)

There is also a pond which is fed from a natural spring and is home to newts, salamanders, frogs, toads, dragonflies and water lilies in the summer.

Elsewhere on the site are rockeries, flower beds and lawns with places to sit and picnic and take in the lovely views across the Dropt valley. To one side of the farmhouse is an orchard.

Please note that the site is not suitable for very young children to roam free: uneven and rough terrain, rock piles and an unfenced pond, well, and pool mean constant adult supervision is required.

A large stone barn which conatins a workshop, storage for machines and the pool pump room, and a working area next to it are out of bounds to visitors for safety reasons.
